Moderation Team
Helper
Helpers do exactly what their name suggests; they help! Their main tasks are to answer any questions about our content or our rules, both in-game and on Discord, and they have the ability to hand out punishments to anyone that breaks our chat rules!
Helpers play a crucial role in resolving conflicts between players, as they have the ability to handle these conflicts with impartiality and fairness! They're also involved in efficiently managing tickets by ensuring that all information needed has been collected, so that other members of staff can get to the issue and resolve it as quickly as possible!
All members of the moderation team will have started out as a helper, but not all helpers will necessarily want to rise the ranks, which is perfectly fine, as helpers are a crucial part of our moderation team!
Moderator
Moderators can do everything that helpers are tasked with, only they have a few more roles. Mods can guide and teach helpers on various aspects of moderation, ensuring that helpers can carry out their own duties.
In addition to that, moderators have the authority to punish people for breaking any of our rules, and they can review and handle any appeal tickets! In general, moderators are also tasked with issues that require more thorough investigation, such as incidents of griefing, which means they're given more tools to do their work efficiently. Anything they can't resolve themselves, they will escalate to Admins instead!
Overall, moderators play a key role in keeping things running smoothly in the community, by making sure to steer helpers in the right direction and contacting the admin team when needed, keeping everyone on the same page and to the standards that we expect!
Admin
Admins play a key role within the server moderation hierarchy. They can fulfil all the responsibilities that moderators are tasked with, whilst guiding and teaching them how to be mods!
Admins are are entrusted with handling more critical and sensitive matters that demand a higher level of attention and precision, which includes resolving bug reports and managing custom purchase tickets, or dealing with other issues on the server that requires an admin to override certain limitations, since they have access to more commands to do so! Aside from that, admins also help determine the punishments for edge case rule violations that don't necessarily fit any of our existing guidelines, as well as escalate more complex issues to managers!
In conclusion, admins are vital to the server's functioning, as their expertise and abilities ensure that the server runs seamlessly. By supporting moderators and taking charge of more complex scenarios, admins are essential in maintaining the overall order of the staff team and the community!
