The current roles we're looking for can be seen in β on our Discord and will not necessarily be shown here. The available roles may change without notice, so make sure to check there, to see if you're able to apply!
To apply for any of these roles, you must be at least 13 years old, be at least player rank III (3), and be an engaging member of our community, who is familiar with all of our content. You also need to be able to communicate effectively, both in text and in VCs (although, exceptions for VC can be made for certain disabilities), and you must be able to work in a team and be open to other people's ideas!
When you're accepted to any of these roles, you must respect the structure and the hierarchy of the Staff Team. One role is not better than another, you just have different duties and responsibilities. When joining our team, any disrespect to another Staff Member or player will not be tolerated.
As a Helper on Onwards, you'll be tasked with moderating chat both on Minecraft and on Discord, but your main role will be to answer any questions that our players might have! People should be able to look up to you as an engaging, friendly and mature member of our community, who knows all our rules and can help with questions about all our content! To apply for the Helper position, you have to be able to record and upload video evidence on your computer. You must be proficient in English, and it will be a bonus if you know other languages, although this is not at all a requirement. Prior experience in moderation can be beneficial, though it's not a requirement or an assurance that you will fit our team here at Onwards. Lastly, you must not have any ongoing or recent punishments for violating our rules, and you can't be a staff member on another server! Becoming a Helper is not as easy as it looks! You will need to be aware of what's being said in chat at all times, so that our players can be helped when needed, so if you're not prepared to make that commitment, please don't apply! All of our Moderation Team will start out as Helper, and if you don't want to be promoted to Moderator or higher, that's perfectly fine too, as not everyone has the wants or abilities that fit a higher role! You also won't be promoted based on playtime or activity alone, but rather based on your fit with the team, our values, and the needs of the server! to apply for Helper.
As a Content member on Onwards, you'll be a part of the Creation Team! Your role will be to create the content that our players can enjoy, or the content that will attract new players to join our server! When applying, you'll choose 1 of 3 main duties as a Content member;
Configuring Plugins: You're required to have experience with configuring plugins, especially working with DeluxeMenus, LuckPerms, PAPI etc..
Creating Models/2D Pixel Art: You're required to have experience with BlockBench and a pixel art editor, as well as know how to add models and textures to a Nexo Resource Pack! You'll need to provide a portfolio of your previous work.
Promotional Content: You're required to have previous experience and provide a portfolio of your work!
As a Builder on Onwards, you'll be a part of the Creation Team! Your role will be to build anything that's needed for the server, particularly for Events!
The Builder role requires you to have previous experience with larger builds as well as be able to focus on the smaller details you'll see at eye-level! You must have experience with a world-builder plugin such as WorldEdit or Axiom - the more tools you know how to use effectively, the better, as we're open to provide any plugin you need. As a builder, you need be able to work within deadlines whilst not compromising on the quality of the build.
As a Dev on Onwards, you'll be a part of the Creation Team. You'll be tasked with creating and upkeeping custom plugins that will fit the needs of the server!
The Developer role requires you to be proficient in Java, with a strong understanding of Minecraft's plugin architecture, and, preferably, experience with Paper. You'll be expected to create innovative features, troubleshoot any issues to do with custom plugins, and ensure that the server runs smoothly. As a Dev, you're expected to work closely with Content members, receiving feedback on features of your plugins, and working as a team to come up with the best way to create content for our server!
Once you've opened an application, you can provide a portfolio of your previous work, which will help us determine if you'll be a fit for our team!
Please only apply if you fulfil the requirements of the role. Being a content member is not just being a glorified suggester, as that's what β are for - you'll need to actually create the content too! to apply for Content.
Once you've opened an application, you must provide a portfolio of at least 4 larger scale projects! to apply for Builder.
